As the bridge slowly thawed, it revealed the actual flora and photographs/ objects of fauna specific to the nearby River Roding. These could be collected by visitors.

The central ice blocks reference water based life, and the bridge’s steps refer to bankside flora and fauna.

The aim was to make visible a stretch of the river which was not normally accessible to the general public.
